The Lotus Club of SoCal is looking for some folks to help out with the club activities. No pay (but prestige), no real perks (well, maybe some perks), must be self-motivating and able to attend most monthly Board meetings on Saturday morning of the 2nd Saturday of the month.
Message us (or reply in this post) if you are interested, or would like more information. We want to make this club really awesome so the more help we have the better it will be for everyone!! These are the positions that we’re looking for, along with a little description.
This person would scour the web, magazines like Driven World, and any other available resources, keeping their ear to the ground in order to locate car-related events in our area. All board members are currently doing this, however we want a person to focus on this area to reduce the ‘missed’ events that we’ve been unaware of. We would put relevant events on our calendar as a service to our club members, as well as use this information to schedule our own events. The purpose is to avoid event conflicts that would reduce the success of ours, or their events, as well as provide us an opportunity to actively support their events with our club membership. We would want this position to be held by a club member who would be invited to our monthly board meetings to contribute and share relevant information to the discussion.
This person would be the heart of developing new members, and will take on the task of coming up with ideas, strategies, and plans on how we can increase membership. We would want this person to concentrate on how we can use our club activities and other resources to the benefit of our membership numbers. They would not necessarily be responsible for getting all future new members, but would act as the central person whose main concentration of effort would be ensuring that we have a growing membership. We would want this position to be held by a club member who would be invited to our monthly board meetings to contribute to our discussions in light of new member creation.
This person would be the main coordination person who monitors, tracks and stimulates the topic of sponsorship of the club activities by outside people, companies, or groups. The goal is to acquire others to become sponsors for our club. This can take the form of money, services, discounts, or some other support of our club. In exchange we would promote their association with our club members. Attention should be put on not being insensitive to those who are already sponsoring others (like GGLC), and working with those others (like GGLC) in these instances. This person would not necessarily be responsible for getting all future sponsorships, but would act as the central person whose main concentration of effort would be ensuring that we have a growing sponsorship roster. We would want this position to be held by a club member who would be invited to our monthly board meetings to contribute to our discussions relative to club sponsors and coordinate the club members toward additional sponsors.
